What ZenBusiness Actually Does Well

ZenBusiness writes better software than most of this industry manages. Filing status, formation paperwork, and mail from your agent arrive inside one console that behaves the way a modern web application should, and an owner who wants a single place to run the administrative side of a company gets a real product for the money. If a dashboard is what you are shopping for, nothing here is going to argue you out of it.

$99 Opens It, $199 Keeps It

Purchased on its own, with no formation package sitting underneath it, the ZenBusiness agent service opens at $99 plus state fees. Each renewal after that is $199 a year. Both numbers are posted in the same place, so nobody is being deceived. What exists is a shape: the first figure recruits and the second figure operates.

Indiana expects a company to keep an agent and a registered office in place continuously, for as long as it stays on the register, which means the renewal is the figure describing nearly every year you will own the business. The underlying duty does not grow to meet $199. Somebody has to be present at an Indiana street address during business hours to take delivery of a summons, and that is the whole assignment in year one and in year eleven alike.

The phrase riding behind the opening figure, plus state fees, deserves a moment too. It leaves the first invoice depending on whichever filings you attach to the order, so the checkout total is not knowable in advance from the pricing page alone.

What We Charge, and What We Will Not Claim

Ninety-nine dollars a year, and ninety-nine dollars on every renewal after it. Anything a process server delivers to our Indiana office is scanned and sitting in your inbox before that business day ends, because the deadline it carries began the moment the papers changed hands. Checkout carries a single product, which leaves nothing to wave off. The agent field on your public filings holds our address rather than your own. Should you want ordinary business mail scanned alongside the legal documents, that runs $15 per item, said out loud here instead of after your card has cleared.

One thing we are not going to tell you is that this is the cheapest option in the state. BetterLegal advertises $90 annually, nine dollars beneath our figure, and concealing it would be a strange way to open an argument about honest pricing. What $99 represents is a place among Indiana's lowest flat yearly rates, with a second invoice that reads exactly like the first.

Switching From ZenBusiness in Indiana: The Zero Is Printed on the Form

Indiana's half of this can be verified before you spend a dollar with anybody, which is unusual enough to be worth doing right now. The document is State Form 56367, Indiana's agent change statement, and the fee line printed on its face reads NO FILING FEE in capital letters. Open the form and look for yourself. It is captioned with Ind. Code 23-0.5-4-6, the statement of change provision, and the identical change can be submitted online through INBiz for the identical nothing. Both routes end at the Indiana Secretary of State, Business Services Division.

A zero printed on a state instrument is a sturdier thing than a zero in anyone's marketing. It is not an introductory rate and it does not run out after twelve months.

Then the order of operations. Form 56367 provides a field for the incoming agent's name and Indiana street address and no field for nobody, which means somebody has to be signed up before the statement can be finished honestly. Enroll with us, write our details onto the statement, submit it, then watch your entity record until the new name shows up. Cancel the ZenBusiness renewal only after that. Done in that sequence the appointment crosses over inside a single entry, and your company never sits in Indiana's file with an empty agent line, not even for an afternoon.
