Read this knowing the source. IN Registered Agent.org competes with Inc Authority for Indiana appointments and earns $99 a year from anyone this page convinces. The one claim we are defending is that a price you can read beforehand beats a price you cannot, so the argument would collapse if we invented figures. We have not.

The Included Year Survives Inspection

Buy an Inc Authority formation package and twelve months of registered agent service arrive at $0. We prodded that offer in the usual places, looking for an activation fee, a term shorter than it sounds, or a clause that recovers the value somewhere else, and none of them turned up. For an Indiana business watching its opening cash, a year of something the state obliges you to have, at no cost, is a straightforwardly good thing to accept.

The Renewal Exists but Is Not Written Down

What comes after month twelve is where comparison stops being possible. Inc Authority does not state, anywhere in its public material, what registered agent service costs once the free year ends. We went through the package tiers, the help content, and the front page during our July 2026 review. The figure is on none of them, and everything observable points to a number that surfaces at checkout or during a phone call.

We are not going to fill that space with an estimate. The structural point holds without one. An Indiana entity must keep an agent in place for every year it remains registered, so the renewal, whatever it turns out to be, is the figure that decides what this line costs across the life of the business. A number nobody has quoted you is a comparison you are unable to finish.

What the Formation Package Is Actually Handling

Some perspective on the thing being bundled. An Indiana LLC begins life on State Form 49459, the Articles of Organization, submitted under IC 23-18-2-4, and the paper edition of that form states a $100 filing fee. It is one document, submitted once, and every provider in this market prepares it.

Against that, the agent appointment on the same order is a subscription with no end date. Formation is a task; the agent line is a tenancy. Bundling them makes the tenancy easy to agree to at a moment when its price has not been mentioned.
